Organic/Kitchen waste is perishable organic waste such as fruits and vegetables, food, leftovers, melon and fruit peels discarded in daily life. Before the harmless treatment of kitchen waste, these impurities must be removed in order to achieve harmless treatment and resource utilization. However, the construction of organic waste disposal facilities is lagging behind or the scale is small, resulting in insufficient front-end sorting power of domestic waste in many cities in China, and the effect of domestic waste sorting is greatly reduced.

Construction and operation of the largest organic waste disposal project

The eastern biomass comprehensive treatment plant of Guangzhou Solid Resource Recycling Center adopts the LHP ultra-high pressure separation technology independently developed by Luculent Environment, which can handle both well-sorted kitchen waste and unsatisfactory kitchen waste. It can be applied to the treatment of kitchen waste, expired food, fruit and vegetable waste, etc.; and the specially designed pressing chamber can handle organic waste with high solid content; no manual sorting of kitchen waste is required; and It has the advantages of high operating stability, low equipment failure rate, and continuous and stable operation.

This organic waste disposal processes nearly 1 million tons of organic waste per year. It is the world’s largest comprehensive urban organic waste treatment project and the world’s largest waste sorting back-end treatment facility.

Due to the adoption of the country’s leading LHP ultra-high pressure separation technology, LCJ super anaerobic microorganism and other technologies, the project has been put into operation in less than one year since it was put into operation in July 2019. The actual processing capacity of kitchen waste exceeds the designed capacity. The processing scale is more than double (the actual daily processing scale is more than 1,200 tons), setting the fastest record for the full production of similar comprehensive treatment projects and kitchen waste treatment projects.

According to the characteristics of the four types of organic waste, the project generally adopts the “pretreatment + combined anaerobic digestion + comprehensive utilization” treatment process, which mainly treats the pretreated slurry of catering waste, kitchen waste, dead livestock and urban manure. Combined anaerobic fermentation treatment. The project has the world’s largest anaerobic fermentation system, which can greatly speed up the processing efficiency of organic slurry. The four types of organic wastes are co-processed and finally turned waste into treasure and converted into clean energy products such as electricity, biogas and biodiesel. This organic waste disposal project generates about 100 million kWh of electricity every year, and uses waste edible oil to produce about 150,000 tons of biodiesel.
